Lunch.com - Twitter for micro-reviews

August 20, 2009 – 4:38 am

Lunch is a micro-review site in Twitter style that allows anyone to review on just about anything in 140 characters or less. Users can also cross-post to Twitter.com and Facebook.

The purpose of Lunch is to provide a community platform where people can share and discover useful information through people who share their interests in concise bit-size reviews. Members can also provide feedback to reviews as well as content on the site.

The unique factor for Lunch is its recomendation engine called “Similarity Network”. Based on reviews you’ve submitted and other actions on the site, Lunch tries to pair you up with other members that it thinks are most similar to you — the idea being you’d rather read a review from one or two very similar people than dozens of reviews from users you know nothing about.
